So, Who am I?

I’m Lorna Romanenghi, an Anglo-Italian goldsmith and tutor specialising in stone setting and high-end jewellery making. My work is rooted in a deep love of craftsmanship, combining contemporary jewellery design with traditional, old-school bench skills.

I trained under Master Goldsmith Scott McIntyre and graduated with an Honours degree from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD). During my time there, I became fascinated by alternative techniques and processes, and began researching methods such as Mitsuro Hikime, Keum-boo, and titanium work and colouration—all of which I continue to explore, refine, and develop as part of my practice today.

Teaching is not just something I do alongside my work—it’s truly my vocation. My passion for sharing skills and supporting other makers grew during my time at Vanilla Ink CIC Jewellery School in Glasgow, where I worked my way from Jeweller in Residence, to Workshop Manager, and eventually Cultural Director.

I’m now based in the rural Italian countryside, where I continue working as a bench jeweller while also offering online mentoring and teaching. I share my home with three cats, one dog, and the occasional rescued animal who happens to wander into my life.
